Our Areas of Intrest Include

Stuttering

Stuttering is characterized by disruptions in the flow of speech, including repetitions of sounds, syllables, or words, as well as blocks and muscle tension during speech.

AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)

AAC refers to any form of communication used instead of verbal speech, which can range from low-tech (e.g., picture boards) to high-tech (e.g., speech-generating devices). Some individuals rely solely on AAC, while others use it in combination with speech.

Gestalt Language Processing (GLP)

GLP involves processing language in chunks rather than analytically. Over time, language processing through GLP develops into naturally flowing speech.

Articulation

Articulation refers to the production of speech sounds during conversation and involves how we shape and form sounds to create words.

Language Delay

Language delay occurs when a child's language development is slower than that of their peers, affecting both speech and comprehension skills.

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT)

OMT is therapy aimed at correcting improper tongue posture, improving swallowing patterns, and promoting nasal breathing to enhance overall oral function and health.

How Do Sessions Work?

Once a patient has been evaluated, sessions will be scheduled weekly. Frequency depends on patient need.

Sessions are typically 30 minutes with five minutes at the end dedicated to parent education and home program review. We aim to provie parents with the tools to continue working at home for improved treatment outcomes.

Therapy is offered in English or Spanish or both depending on the child's comfort level. Were passionate about allowing children to continue to explore their home language and understand the importance of bilingualism.
